Associated with medicine and health care services such as doctors or hospitals. A similar and related symbol called the Caduceus is frequently used in the United States.
Medical Symbol was approved as part of Unicode 4.1 in 2005 under the name "Staff of Aesculapius" and added to Emoji 4.0 in 2016.
