Horse Face

The face of a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicorn">unicorn</a>, a mythical creature in the form of a white <a href="/horse/">horse</a> with a single, long horn on its forehead. Generally depicted as a white horse head facing left with a pink or purple mane and a yellow or rainbow-colored horn.

In addition to the mythical unicorn, may be used to convey whimsy, fantasy, uniqueness, specialness, peace, and love. Often used for various content related to the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_symbols#Unicorns">LGBTQ community</a>, thanks in part to its <a href="/rainbow-flag/">rainbow</a> colors on many platforms. Also often used in association with &ldquo;unicorn&rdquo; startups. Sometimes used as a rainbow or holographic accent color.

Vendors implement the emoji with the same or similar design as <a href="/horse-face/">🐴 Horse Face</a>, but with colorful hair and a horn.

WhatsApp&rsquo;s unicorn is facing right. Google&rsquo;s unicorn <a href="/google/android-7.0/unicorn/">previously</a> had a brown mane, <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/unicorn/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a> a pink mane. Twitter&rsquo;s unicorn was <a href="/twitter/twemoji-2.0/unicorn/">previously</a> purple-colored with a blue mane.

Unicorn Face

A zebra, a horse-like mammal with black-and-white stripes. Variously depicted in full profile on all fours facing left or as a&nbsp;zebra head facing left with a short mane.

Zebra Face

A friendly, cartoon-styled face of a cow looking straight ahead. Variously depicted as a white, brown, or multicolored cow face with a neutral expression, short horns, and a pink or brown muzzle.

Often used with a more affectionate tone than the full-bodied <a href="/cow/">🐄 Cow</a>.

Facebook&rsquo;s design <a href="/facebook/2.0/cow-face/">once featured</a> a more lifelike, brown cow face.

Cow Face

A <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_buffalo">water buffalo</a>, a bovine used to plough rice fields in parts of Asia. Depicted in gray or black in full profile on all fours facing left, with a tail and broad horns curled up at the tips.

Often used to represent a bull. Not to be confused with <a href="/ox/">🐂 Ox</a>, though their applications may overlap.

Microsoft&rsquo;s design was <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/water-buffalo/">previously</a> brown.

Water Buffalo

A cow, a bovine farmed for its meat or milk. Depicted in full profile on all fours facing left with a black-and-white patched coat (as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holstein_Friesian_cattle">Holstein Friesian</a>) and, on many platforms, a pink udder and horns.

A ram, a male sheep with large, spiraling horns. Generally depicted in full profile on all fours facing left with a thick, white fleece and light-brown horns.

Often considered (in lieu of <a href="/goat/">🐐 Goat</a>) one of the 12 animals of the <a href="/chinese-new-year/">Chinese zodiac</a>. Also often used to represent&nbsp;<a href="/aries/">♈ Aries</a>&nbsp;(the Ram) in the Western zodiac.

A previous version of Windows displayed the carousel horse <a href="/microsoft/windows-8.1/carousel-horse/" title="🎠 Carousel Horse on Microsoft Windows 8.1">facing right</a>, which was changed to <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/carousel-horse/" title="🎠 Carousel Horse on Microsoft Windows 10">face left</a>&nbsp;on Windows 10 for cross-platform consistency.

Carousel Horse

Two swords with steel blades in an X shape, as crossed for combat between two knights or warriors. Generally depicted as straight, double-edged blades with brown or black, cross-shaped hilts, points directed up.&nbsp;Commonly used as a symbol for battle, fighting, or a contest, as in sports.

Sometimes shown with golden handles. Apple and Microsoft&rsquo;s designs feature a red and white sawtooth pattern, Facebook and WhatsApp&rsquo;s blue and white checkers.

Shield

The face of a&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon">dragon</a>, a mythical creature resembling a giant reptile found in the folklore of many cultures.
