An Aerial Tramway, most commonly seen at ski resorts, for transport between locations on a mountain. Can also be used as a tourist attraction, or as a form of public transport.

In 2018 this emoji was the focus of <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2018/7/26/17613850/twitter-least-used-emoji-tramway">a grassroots campaign on Twitter</a> where users of the platform began using this emoji more frequently. This was to update the least-used emoji on emojitracker.com (as tracked by the <a href="https://twitter.com/leastUsedEmoj">@leastUsedEmoji</a> Twitter bot) from the Aerial Tramway to another emoji.

Aerial Tramway

A face that appears surrounded by clouds or a haze of smoke. Ambiguous in appearance, this may represent a foggy state of mind, confusion, or even a sense of calm bliss.

May also be used to indicate the presence&nbsp;of <a href="/420/">smoke</a>.

Face in Clouds

A mountain with snow resting at higher altitudes. Similar in appearance to the <a href="/mount-fuji/" title="🗻 Mount Fuji">Mount Fuji</a> emoji.

Snow Capped Mountain

A mountain shown with two peaks and blue sky. Similar to the <a href="/snow-capped-mountain/" title="🏔 Snow Capped Mountain">snow capped mountain emoji</a>.

Mountain

A railway (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railroad_car">railroad</a>)&nbsp;car (carriage)&nbsp;that is generally pulled along a railway line by a <a href="/diesel-locomotive/" title="🛲 Diesel Locomotive">locomotive</a>. Shown with a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantograph_(transport)">pantograph</a>&nbsp;above the carriage on many platforms which makes it look more like a&nbsp;<a href="/tram-car/" title="🚋 Tram Car">tram car</a>.

Google&rsquo;s artwork <a href="/google/android-5.0/railway-car/">previously</a>&nbsp;looked&nbsp;like a <a href="/bus/" title="🚌 Bus">bus</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;Microsoft&#39;s older versions&nbsp;appeared&nbsp;similar to a <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/railway-car/">minecart</a>.

Railway Car

A form of public transport similar to a <a href="/tram/" title="🚊 Tram">tram</a>,&nbsp;but running on a track or network separated from cars and other types of traffic.

Difficult to discern from a train at small sizes.

Light Rail

A train and railway in the&nbsp;<a href="/mountain/" title="⛰ Mountain">mountains</a>.

Previously displayed as&nbsp;a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funicular">funicular</a> in <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/mountain-railway/">Microsoft&rsquo;s </a>artwork. Android also <a href="/google/android-7.0/mountain-railway/">previously</a> displayed&nbsp;this train as front-facing and&nbsp;<a href="/google/android-6.0.1/mountain-railway/" title="🚞 Mountain Railway on Google Android 6.0.1">leaving a tunnel</a>, which appeared&nbsp;similarly to the <a href="/metro/" title="🚇 Metro">metro emoji</a> at small sizes.

Mountain Railway

A cable car transportation system allowing users to swiftly ascend up a <a href="/mountain">mountain</a>.&nbsp;Can also be used as a tourist attraction, or as a form of public transport.

Mountain Cableway

The sun, the star at the center of our solar system. Generally depicted as a golden-yellow disc radiating eight triangular rays, representing the sun&rsquo;s heat and light.

Commonly used to represent sunny, warm, or hot weather, light, heat, energy, life, outer space, astronomy, and various positive and happy (sunny) feelings.&nbsp;As such, this emoji tends to spike in popularity during the <a href="/summer">summer</a> months.

A sun with a smiling face, as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_of_May">Sun of May</a>. Generally depicted as a golden-yellow disc with a smiling, often human face with a nose, radiating triangular&nbsp;rays, representing the sun&#39;s heat and light.

May be used to represent the sun more generally. Also used to represent sunny, warm, or hot weather and various positive and happy (sunny) feelings.
